Near the European square\, the technology center provides a conference center with an open exhibition space. Here\, our exhibitors can not only reach the audience of the conference\, but also all other visitors and staff at the technology center in Aachen. \nSince 1996\, the AKIDA is an established German-language conference for maintenance\, diagnostics and plant monitoring. Thanks to our proximity to Belgium\, Netherlands and Luxembourg\, we want to open our conference for the international audience. Hence\, the call for papers has been published not only in German but also in English this year. It is planned to make the conference accessible by interpreters for the German and English-speaking participants. \nAlso in 2016\, the AKIDA provides a forum for experts from industry and representatives of the universities\, to learn about trends and new developments\, but also to discuss current problems and to give impetus to innovative solution concepts.
