Zu dieser Veranstaltung sollten Vertreter der Bergbau- und Hüttenindustrie eingeladen werden\, um von diesen etwas über die Situation in der Praxis zu erfahren sowie zum Knüpfen von Kontakten für den späteren Einsatz in der Praxis. Von dieser Initiative ausgehend\, entwickelte sich der BHT zur wissenschaftlichen Hauptveranstaltung unserer Universität\, welche dazu beitragen soll\, den fachlichen Wissensstand zu erweitern\, neue Kontakte zu knüpfen und bestehende Kooperationen auszubauen.
