IMWA 2017’s Congress theme will be “Mine Water & Circular Economy” which will be presented in 243 oral and poster presentations. Circular economy means\, “closing the loop” of product life-cycles by improving recycling and re-use. In case of mine water\, this means that mining wastes and mine water are used to extract valuable materials\, such as metals\, fertilizers or adsorbents for waste water purification. We are expecting high caliber presentations about this subject\, but every mine water related theme will be covered during IMWA’s 13th congress. Methanol Technology and Policy Commercial Congress DESCRIPTION:MMSA once again is spearheading an independent effort to help understand opportunities and threats related to methanol use in advanced applications that benefit the global environment. As was evident at last year’s conference\, technology involving methanol is well ahead of defined political initiatives\, and costs for implementation of some technologies are high. On November 29 – December 1\, 2016\, MMSA will conduct its 3rd Methanol Technology and Policy Commercial Congress in Frankfurt (Germany). This conference will again bring together experts in methanol process technology\, particularly in the areas of methanol’s environmental and energy applications. Simultaneously\, key EU policy makers have been invited to cite future policy initiatives in the energy arena in Europe. The overall goal of this conference is to continue critical discussion about opportunities and threats to the role of methanol in future energy application and policy. One important goal is to catalog the many approaches using methanol as a means to consume CO2 and/or using renewable feedstocks\, and understand their various strengths and weaknesses\, taking another step in the direction of advancing methanol utility in society. The European mining community has confronted and solved such challenges over centuries and has thereby delivered important contributions to the use and development of our mineral resources. \nThe key objective of AIMS 2016 is to provide a platform for researchers from academic institutions\, professionals from mining companies\, practitioners from consulting companies\, equipment suppliers and software providers to share the latest developments on mining activities\, developments and research in Europe. Initiating a new Symposium within the established AIMS conference series\, “Mining in Europe” will be the framework for a series of topics. The conference will include keynote talks\, case studies and technical papers. An additional objective of AIMS 2016 is to encourage MSc and PhD students to showcase their research to support the next generation of mining professionals. \nWho should attend \n• Managers and Decision Makers from Industry\n• Practitioners\n• Manufacturers\n• R&D Organizations and Academia\n• Administration\, Government\n• Scientific / Technical Press\n• Undergraduate\, Graduate and PhD Students URL:https://mining-report.de/english/event/aims-2016-aachen-international-mining-symposia/ LOCATION:Kármán Auditorium of the RWTH Aachen University\, Eilfschornsteinstrasse 15\, Aachen\, NRW\, 52062\, Germany CATEGORIES:Congress, exhibition ORGANIZER;CN="RWTH Aachen University":MAILTO:aims@bbk1.rwth-aachen.de END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20160216 DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20160219 DTSTAMP:20151207T123130Z CREATED:20151207T123130Z LAST-MODIFIED:20151207T123130Z UID:2807-1455580800-1455839999@mining-report.de SUMMARY:E-World Energy & Water DESCRIPTION:EUROPE’S LEADING ENERGY TRADE FAIR \nIn the last 15 years\, the E-world energy & water has developed into the meeting point for the European energy sector. 640 exhibitors and 24\,000 professional visitors from 80 countries came together in 2015 to exchange ideas about the latest market findings. Here\, the E-world\ngrew not only in size\, but also in internationality. \nNearly a quarter of the exhibiting companies are based abroad. The majority of international exhibitors came from countries in the European Union: Great Britain\, Switzerland and the Netherlands as well as Austria\, France and Poland are the most frequently represented countries here. \nOn a visitor level\, internationality is also constantly on the increase; in 2015 the proportion of international visitors reached almost 20%. The largest group here came from the Netherlands\, followed by Switzerland\, Great Britain and Austria. In total\, around 64% of exhibitors made international contacts. \n  URL:https://mining-report.de/english/event/e-world-energy-water/ LOCATION:Messe Essen\, Norbertstrasse 2\, Essen\, NRW\, 45131\, Germany CATEGORIES:Congress,trade-fair ORGANIZER;CN="E-world energy & water GmbH":MAILTO:mail (at) e-world-essen.com END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20160211 DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20160213 DTSTAMP:20151221T114011Z CREATED:20151221T112525Z LAST-MODIFIED:20151221T114011Z UID:2852-1455148800-1455321599@mining-report.de SUMMARY:ICCX Central Europe 2016 DESCRIPTION:The ZBI Congress\, which had its premiere in 2014 and was successfully repeated in 2015\, will become the ICCX Central Europe next year. This is the reaction of the organisers from CPI worldwide to the positive feedback from the participants. The venue will once again be the Hotel Ossa Congress & Spa in Poland\, which has proven to be ideal for the staging of such an event. The two-day first edition of the ICCX Central Europe will take place on 11 and 12 February 2016.\nAs the name suggests\, the organisers of the ICCX Central Europe are looking to address participants beyond the borders of Poland. The target group of the event is the central European states. As is usual for an ICCX\, the conference agenda with the accompanying trade exhibition will run for two full days.\nICCX events have been taking place in various places in the world for 15 years – the team from CPI worldwide has already organised the ICCX Russia ten times.\nTo enable the participants to plan better\, the programme of lectures\, in which international experts will speak about current ‘concrete’ topics\, will be split into four topical blocks with the main themes of concrete technology\, precast concrete elements\, concrete products and concrete pipe/manholes.\nThe typical ICCX evening event with supporting programme will take place in the evening on the first day of the event. This provides an opportunity for all participants – whether visitors\, speakers or exhibitors – to converse once again in a casual atmosphere.\nThe accompanying trade exhibition will be considerably enlarged once again in comparison with the last ZBI Congress in order to meet the great demand. At the last congress in Ossa the entire exhibition area was sold out months before the event\, resulting in a long waiting list. The extension of the exhibition to 101 booths will naturally benefit visitors\, who will be even more spoilt for choice.
