changed significantly in the last few days. There has been an increasing incidence of infections in Germany and a growing number of employers and states is placing limitations on travel. Based on these evolving circumstances\, it would be an unacceptable risk to bring people from various continents together in Aachen in early April. Such an event can only take place successfully if all our participants feel comfortable with the current situation and a relaxed\, unburdened exchange with each other is possible. From our point of view this is unfortunately not given with the current situation. \nTherefore\, we have decided to cancel AIMS 2020.\nWe very much apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause. Essener Fachgespräch Endlagerbergbau DESCRIPTION:Please note this a GERMAN LANGUAGE event! \n9th Essen Expert Talk on Final \nThis long-running event gives an insight into interesting projects and the latest developments in the sector\, combined with the opportunity for networking and professional discussions. In nearly all known cases\, the end of mineral exploitation caused a number of serious social\, economical and environmental problems. These problems are very similar in all mining regions and put pressure not only on scientific institutions and local authorities but also on national governments to develop rehabilitation and development strategies. \nComparing the current mining situation of Germany and China\, we identify that the percentage of abandoned mines in Germany is not far from 100 %. That means only a few mines more are open (except some quarries). In China the situation isn’t that extreme. So\, they will have the big closure of mines in the future. The exchange of knowledge regarding Post Mining is relevant for both\, the Chinese miners\, because they can avoid some not necessary mistakes\, and for the German mines\, because they can develop new concepts for further and additional use of the abandoned mines. \nProf. Oliver Langefeld\, TU Clausthal (Germany) and Prof. Deyi Jiang\, Chongqing University (China) are inviting the scientific community and the resposinble authorities as well as the mining\, energy & environment industries to attend this Sino-German Conference & Excurison which will be held on 7th to 11th October 2019 in Germany (Clausthal-Zellerfeld). \nDates & Events\n7 th October 1st conference day\n8 th October 2nd conference day\n9th October 3rd conference day\n10 th October 1th day of field trip\n11 th October 2th day of field trip URL:https://mining-report.de/english/event/sino-german-conference-2019/ LOCATION:CUTEC Research Center\, Leibnizstraße 23\, Clausthal-Zellerfeld\, 38678\, Germany CATEGORIES:conference ORGANIZER;CN="TU Clausthal %E2%80%93 TP":MAILTO:thorben.plett@tu-clausthal.de END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20191001 DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20191003 DTSTAMP:20190819T112331Z CREATED:20190819T112331Z LAST-MODIFIED:20190819T112331Z UID:9061-1569888000-1570060799@mining-report.de SUMMARY:Symposium FreiBERGbau DESCRIPTION:Selection of topics\n• Approval procedures and financing models\n• Requirements for new infrastructure concepts\n• Adaptation and optimization of mining technologies\n• Optimisation of conveying and transport\, selection of equipment\n• Alternative propulsion technologies\n• Sensor technology and data evaluation\, IT infrastructure\n• Networking and Automation\n• Ventilation\, limit values and emission protection\n• Operational monitoring and control\n• Personnel security\, competence development and training\n• Public acceptance of raw material extraction URL:https://mining-report.de/english/event/symposium-freibergbau/ LOCATION:Alte Mensa TU Freiberg\, Petersstraße 5\, Freiberg\, Saxony\, 09599\, Germany CATEGORIES:Colloquium ORGANIZER;CN="TU Freiberg TK":MAILTO:freibergbau@tu-freiberg.de END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20190918 DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20190921 DTSTAMP:20190819T111405Z CREATED:20190819T110801Z LAST-MODIFIED:20190819T111405Z UID:9059-1568764800-1569023999@mining-report.de SUMMARY:Mining and Metals Central Asia 2019 DESCRIPTION:Mining and Metals Central Asia (UFI Approved Event) is the largest and most respected in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
