This latest addition to its range permits an increase of up to 24\u2009% in the number of tonne-kilometres per hour possible. The MICHELIN XDR250 was developed in collaboration with mining machinery manufacturers Caterpillar and Komatsu, and is used on both the CAT 793F and the AC KOM 830E. Six-wheeled dump trucks in this vehicle class reach a top speed of up to 65 km\/h and a gross weight of up to 390 tonnes. The MICHELIN XDR250 is already available on the market.<\/p>\n<p>The additional productivity offered by the MICHELIN XDR250 is achieved by increasing the load rating and the speed at which the truck can travel.<\/p>\n<p>Key facts of the MICHELIN XDR250:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Greater load capacity: with a nominal load capacity of up to 67 tons, the new MICHELIN XDR250 tire is the new benchmark on the market for 250 T dumpers. Load capacity has been increased by 11.6\u2009% compared to its predecessor, the MICHELIN XDR2 40.00 R57 tire.<\/li>\n<li>Greater volume: the new MICHELIN XDR250 tire contains an additional 9.2\u2009% in air volume compared to its predecessor, the MICHELIN XDR2 40.00 R57 tire.<\/li>\n<li>Lower temperature operation: its new tread incorporates smaller rubber blocks crossed by more grooves, optimising air flow and cooling. Compared to its predecessor, the MICHELIN XDR250 tire can boast a peak temperature less than 8 \u00b0C, in comparable operating conditions.
