A peristaltic pump for virtually all fluids and pastes
Peristaltic pumps pump fluids gently even if they contain a high proportion of solids. With its PERIPOWER product range, FLUX-Geräte GmbH is tapping into the benefits of this pump technology and providing a wide range of models for virtually any application. In the smallest variant, a DN10 peristaltic pump pumps around 150 l/h at 50 rpm. This version has a 0.37 kW motor. The largest model has an inner hose diameter of 200 mm and pumps at 300 m³/h. Pressure levels of up to 10 bar are achieved with a 90 kW motor (Figure 1). The pump housing and hose materials are matched to the respective purpose: plastic, steel and stainless steel housings permit a long service life in tough industrial use. The pump has a simple structure and the only wearing part, the hose, can be quickly and easily replaced on site. An additional frequency converter allows any delivery rate to be set and optional pulsation dampers make continuous material flows possible. Even though they don’t feature a valve, the pumps have protection against return flows as the hose is squashed in the event of a loss of power.
Low-maintenance and durable
The direction in which the self-priming pump runs can be reversed and it is safe in dry operation. Depending on the direction in which the rotor is running, suction or pressure connectors may either be at the top or bottom. Only the connection piece and hose are subject to the abrasive or corrosive media and can be replaced at speed. What’s more, the pump doesn’t have to be removed in order to do this. The pump housing supports the hose from the outside and is filled with glycerine. This lubricates the rollers and hose, thereby preventing friction and cooling hotspots. As a result, less energy is consumed, wear is reduced and the life of the hose and rollers is extended. For a greater suction height of up to 9 mwc, a vacuum is produced in the housing by an optional vacuum pump. This produces greater suction on the suction side and therefore increases the max. suction height from 5 to 9 mwc. The pumps are therefore suited to use in the chemical industry, food disposal, agriculture, fishing as well as for onshore/offshore (oil sludge), biogas or wastewater treatment plants, civil engineering and mining.
