As successor to Gertjan Lankhorst from GasTerra, Klaus Schäfer, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Uniper SE, became the new President of the Eurogas association in Brussels/Belgium.

At the request of Ines Kolmsee, the Supervisory Board of EWE AG, Oldenburg/Germany, released her from her duties as member of the Board responsible for technology at EWE AG with effect from 31st December 2016. Initially, the general representation regulations of the Board shall apply. A decision will be made on a successor at the beginning of 2017.

Ralph Jäger, Member of the Board of Management and Labour Director responsible for the areas of Finance & Controlling, Human Resources, Structure & Organisation and Compliance at K+S Kali GmbH, Kassel/Germany, left the company on 30th November 2016. In their most recent meeting, the Super-visory Boards of Lausitz Energie Bergbau AG and Lausitz Energie Kraftwerke AG (LEAG), Cottbus/Germany, appointed Markus Binder, formerly Commercial Director at Grosskraftwerk Mannheim AG, as Chairman of the Board of Management of both companies from 1st March 2017. Since at least the end of July 2016, former Chancellor Gerhard Schröder has taken on the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the gas pipeline operator Nord Stream 2 AG in Zug/Switzerland. He remains Chairman of the Board of the old company Nord Stream.

At the end of September 2016, Roger Kohlmann left the General Executive Management Board of the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW), Berlin/Germany. He is succeeded by Andrees Gentzsch, former Director of the Legal division of the General Executive Management Board.

In April 2017, Joachim Lang, who is currently Head of the Berlin representative office of E.ON SE, will become General Manager of the Federation of German Industry (BDI) in Berlin/Germany. He will succeed Markus Krebber, who will be moving to the IT industry.

On 1st October, Prof. Dr. Karl Friedrich Jakob became this year’s Chairman of the Board of the self-governing bodies of the German Statutory Pension Insurance Scheme for Knappschaft-Bahn-See (DRV KBS), Bochum/Germany. He succeeds Edeltraud Glänzer.

In early 2017, Laurent Schmitt will become the new Secretary-General of the European Network of Transmission System Operators, Entso-E, Brussels/Belgium. Schmitt is currently Global Smart Grid Strategy Leader at General Electric. At Entso-E he will succeed Konstantin Staschus.

Since 19th September 2016, Gazprom Germania GmbH, Berlin/Germany, has had a new Board of Management. Mikhail Sereda and Nikolai Dubik succeeded Vyacheslav Krupenkov and Andrey Biryulin.
