Jörg Kubitza has been the Head of Strategy at Czech energy supplier CEZ in Germany since the beginning of January 2017. This role will primarily see him take care of strategic expansion and corporate development in the field of renewable energies.

On 1st January 2017, Marc Spieker became a Member of the Board of Management at E.ON SE, Essen/Germany. On 1st April 2017 he assumed the responsibilities of former Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Michael Sen, who has left the company.

Rex Tillerson, the new US Secretary of State, has been replaced by Darren Woods at the US energy firm ExxonMobil. Woods, former Member of the Board at ExxonMobil, had long been considered a potential successor to Tillerson. He took up office on 1st January 2017.
