BEE

As of 1st August 2017, Peter Röttgen will be the new CEO of the German Renewable Energy Association (BEE), Berlin, having previously managed the E.ON Energy Storage Innovation Centre up until the group was split up. Harald Uphoff, who temporarily managed the BEE following the departure of Hermann Falks in 2016, shall remain Deputy CEO.

At the German Wind Energy Association (BWE), Berlin, Martin Grundmann and Sandra Hook from the regional associations of Schleswig-Holstein and Hessen respectively have been elected as the new Vice Presidents. Herrmann Albers remains President of the BWE.

Capital Stage

On 1st September 2017, Dierk Paskert will take over as Chairman of the Management Board at the solar plant and wind farm operator, Capital Stage AG, Hamburg/Germany. Paskert has prior experience of the energy industry having been a Member of the Board at E.ON Energie AG, among others.

EURELECTRIC

The European power association, EURELECTRIC, based in Brussels/Belgium, has elected Francesco Starace, CEO of the Italian company Enel, as its new President. He replaces Antonio Mexia from the Portuguese firm EDP. The CEOs of Vattenfall and SSE, Magnus Hall and Alistair Phillips-Davies respectively, have both been elected Vice President.
