Helmar Rendez, Chairman of the Board at LEAG, is the new Chairman of the German Lignite Association (DEBRIV), Berlin/Germany. He was elected to his new office at the general meeting at this year‘s lignite convention. The new Deputy Chairman was declared to be Lars Kulik, Member of the Board of Management at RWE Power AG.

Klaus Freytag, former Head of Brandenburg State Mining office (Landesbergamt Brandenburg) and, since 2015, Head of the Energy and Raw Materials Department at the Ministry for Economic Affairs of the State of Brandenburg, was named by Minister-President Dietmar Woidke (SPD) as the new coordinator for Lusatia at the State Chancellery.
