Simone Peter, Federal Chairperson of the Bündnis 90/Die Grünen between 2013 and 2018, became President of the German Renewable Energy Association (BEE) in Berlin/Germany on 1st March 2018. She has taken over from Fritz Brickwedde who left the position for personal reasons.

On 31st December 2017, Bernd Länger left the Centre of Excellence for Mining of the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Sydney/Australia, which is part of the German Mining Network (GMN). The process of appointing a new manager is under way.

Renewable energy project developers juwi GmbH, Wörrstadt/Germany, part of MVV Energie, want to expand their business in Australia and have therefore named Cameron Garnsworthy as Managing Director of the Brisbane subsidiary, juwi Renewable Energy Pty.

At the meeting of the RAG Aktiengesellschaft Supervisory Board in Essen/Germany on 24th March 2018, Peter Schrimpf was named the new Chairman of the RAG Board of Executives. Schrimpf, formerly the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Executives, succeeds Bernd Tönjes in the role.

On 24th May 2018, Werner Müller, Chairman of the Board of Executives for RAG-Stiftung in Essen/Germany, will step down from this role and his seats on the supervisory boards of Evonik Industries AG, RAG Aktiengesellschaft and Deutsche Steinkohle AG for health reasons. At the beginning of March 2018, Christoph Schlechter assumed the role of Manager for the RWE Generation SE, Essen/Germany, power stations in Werne and Hamm. He succeeds Ralf Heitmüller, who managed the Gersteinwerk power station in Werne until his retirement, and Stefan Laarmann, former manager of the Westfalen station in Hamm, who has left the company.

On 1st September 2018, Manon van Beek assumes the position of Chairperson of the Board of Executives for Tennet Holding B. V., based in Arnheim/Netherlands. The company operates the high-voltage electricity grid in the Netherlands and large parts of Germany. Van Beek, currently Managing Director of consultancy firm Accenture B. V. On 1st January 2018, Karsten Specht became the new Vice President of the German Association of Local Utilities (VKU) in Berlin/Germany. He takes over from Michael Beckereit, who retired at the end of 2017.

Ludwig Möhring, Dmitry Kotulskiy and Vitaly Vasiliev are no longer Managing Directors of Wingas GmbH, the Kassel-based subsidiary of Gazprom. The new Managing Directors have been named as Lavrenty Pilyagin and Slawa Margulis.

Andreas Scheck has taken the decision to leave Wintershall Deutschland, Kassel/Germany, to pursue a new challenge in his career. Volker Riha, previously Head of Self-operated Crude Oil and Natural Gas Production and deputy to Scheck, has assumed the managerial role provisionally.
