Michael Schmidt, Chairman of the Board of Management of BP Europa SE, Bochum/Germany, since May 2012, is leaving the company. He will be succeeded by Wolfgang Langhoff, most recently responsible for matters of portfolio strategy in the dissolution of the Ruhr Oel Joint Venture between BP and the Russian company Rosneft, on 1st January 2017.

In his role as Chief Digital Officer, Matthew Timms has been managing the newly formed Digital Business Unit of E.ON SE, Düsseldorf/Germany, since 1st August 2016. Timms was previously responsible for digital business at SAP AG in London.

The current Senior Managing Director of Gazprom Germania GmbH, Berlin/Germany, Vyaches-lav Krupenkov, is retiring from the company. Andrey Biryulin is now the company‘s sole Managing Director.

In its meeting on 24th August 2016, the Supervisory Board of K + S Aktiengesellschaft, Kassel/Germany, appointed Dr. Burk-hard Lohr future Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the company. On 1st July 2016, the former Head of the Lignite-Fired Power Stations business division at RWE Power AG, Armin Eichholz, succeeded Joachim Geisler as Chairman of the Board of Management of Mitteldeutsche Braunkohlengesellschaft mbH (MIBRAG), Zeitz/Germany.

On 8th July 2016, Bruno Daude-Lagrave became Managing Director of Total Deutschland GmbH, Berlin/Germany. Prior to that, he managed AS24, the HGV automatic filling station business unit of Total. Daude-Lagrave succeeded Hans-Christian Gützkow, who has moved to the parent company in Paris/France.

Patricia Espinosa Cantellano of Mexico is the new Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC) in Bonn/Germany. She succeeded Christiana Figueres of Costa Rica, who served a term of six years in office.
