HOSCH Fördertechnik expands production in Recklinghausen

HOSCH Fördertechnik GmbH has acquired the neighboring 5,300 sq m site – Golden Module honors two U.S. managers.

Recklinghausen, May 2023. Investing in the future: HOSCH Fördertechnik GmbH, global market leader in belt-cleaning technology, is expanding its production capacity in Recklinghausen. The company has acquired a large complex practically adjacent to its Headquarters that covers approx. 5,300 square meters and includes a large hall and an unbuilt section. Cornelia Kill-Frech, Managing Partner of the HOSCH Group, which employs around 500 people worldwide, sees this as a clear commitment to the Recklinghausen site: “This expansion is another important step securing our company’s future.”

The new premises will be extensively renovated to meet current work standards, including the installation of digital technology. For the detailed planning the HOSCH Management has commissioned a firm of architects, which is primarily developing ideas for redesigning the offices and social spaces. The production managers will be responsible for the factory planning. Cornelia Kill-Frech said, “We will improve the working conditions for our staff and create capacities for further expansion.” At the same time, this move by HOSCH is paving the way for the next generation. The purchaser of the neighboring property is T&T Grundstücksgesellschaft mbh, whose shareholders are the brothers Dr. Tim Frech and Tobin Frech – grandsons of HOSCH’s founder, Hans-Otto Schwarze.

HOSCH Company is active in half of the U.S. states.

The coveted “Golden Module,” the HOSCH Group’s annual award for excellent management and sales growth, crossed the “Pond” this year. For the first time in HOSCH’s history, which spans over 40 years, it honored two people: Mary Murawski and Mike Evanitz, the joint managers of HOSCH Company in the U.S.

In his laudation, HOSCH Managing Director Ansgar Frieling explained the reasons for the choice, which was kept secret in the firm until the very last moment: “Mary and Mike managed to compensate for the collapse in sales in the coal and steel industry by moving into new areas of business such as copper, sand and gravel.

They have been managing the firm for the last five years and during this time they have expanded the area it serves. Today HOSCH is active in half of the 50 U.S. states.”

HOSCHiris – global launch of the digital product suite

The International Management Meeting (IMM) in May 2023 brought together the heads of HOSCH’s 18 subsidiaries around the world. They spent four days in Kamp-Lintfort, working through a packed agenda that included the topic of expansion, the award ceremony and, in particular, the product and market development of HOSCHiris.

This is the name of the suite of digital solutions for system and service management, early detection of belt damage, and continuous belt monitoring. Following the successful deployment of the pilot series, HOSCH is now rolling out this technology globally.

Another topic was the A1 scraper, the user-friendly model that won over many new customers following its very successful market launch at the end of 2021. In the first half of 2023, its sales figures helped increase the total turnover of the HOSCH Group despite rising energy costs and logistical bottlenecks. HOSCH also welcomed the Dutchman Sijbe Tjalle van Sloten (58) to its management team. He introduced himself at the IMM as the new HOSCH manager serving customers in the Netherlands and parts of Belgium.
