At its meeting on 25th June 2019, the supervisory board of 50Hertz appointed Stefan Kapferer the new CEO of 50Hertz, Berlin/Germany. Kapferer, the current CEO and member of the committee of the Federal Association of the Energy and Water Industries (BDEW), will start his new role no later than 1st January 2020.

On 14th February 2019, the supervisory board of electricity transmission system operator 50Hertz Transmission GmbH, Berlin/Germany, appointed Technical Manager Frank Golletz as Interim CEO in addition to his duties as CTO. Boris Schucht will be leaving electricity transmission grid operator 50Hertz, Berlin/Germany, on 28th February 2019 to take on new professional challenges. This was mutually agreed between Schucht, the 50Hertz supervisory board and shareholders Elia and Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) on 4th December 2018.

Marco Nix will become the new CFO of transmission system operator 50Hertz in Berlin on 1 July 2015. He will take over from Udo Giegerich, who is leaving the company.
