On 20th May 2019, Magnus Hall, President and CEO of the Swedish-based electricity company Vattenfall, took over the presidency of the European electricity association Eurelectric, Brussels/Belgium.

The European power association, EURELECTRIC, based in Brussels/Belgium, has elected Francesco Starace, CEO of the Italian company Enel, as its new President. He replaces Antonio Mexia from the Portuguese firm EDP. The CEOs of Vattenfall and SSE, Magnus Hall and Alistair Phillips-Davies respectively, have both been elected Vice President.

Effective January 2017, the new Secretary General for the Union of the Electricity Industry at Eurelectric, Brussels/Belgium, is Kristian Ruby, former Member of the Board of Management at WindEurope.
