Dear readers,

in this third issue of Mining Report Glückauf, we are responding to the feedback we have received since the start of the year. The switch to a purely digital publication was met with a positive response, but the decision not to include a German-language version of our articles has led to some regret and a desire to reconsider this matter. We have done just that, and you can see the result today: the German version is back! On behalf of the editorial team and the publisher, we would like to thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and suggestions regarding the magazine with us.

Many of you were aware of it or even took part: on 18 and 19 June 2026, the MiningForum took place once again in Berlin, once again excellently organised by DMT GmbH & Co. KG. As Mining Report Glückauf, we were the media partner for the event, which is why we are now able to present numerous presentations to you as specialist articles in our magazine. To give the authors sufficient time and to do justice to the MiningForum’s theme, “Raw Materials Momentum”, we have decided to bring all this together in a more comprehensive issue 4/2026. You can already look forward to this special issue whilst you study the contents of this current issue, which is consequently somewhat shorter.
