In recent years, Chile and Peru have been breaking new ground in organizing innovation in the mining sector by setting up targeted innovation networks and hubs to accelerate the development and application of new technologies and improve cooperation between startups, mining companies, research centers and technology suppliers. This development offers exciting new opportunities for German suppliers and technology companies, as well as research partners, to get involved in programs run by the “Innovation Hubs”.

The event offers an insight into two of the leading Innovation Hubs in Peru and Chile, the “Hub de Innovación Minera del Perú” and “Alta Ley” in Chile, and provides an overview of concrete opportunities for German and international companies to participate in calls for proposals, challenges and open innovation programs, as well as opportunities for cross-cutting collaboration.

In the concluding panel discussion, these aspects will be further explored with two other “Innovation Hubs”, the network “Sammi – Cluster Minero Andino” from Peru.
