VISION ZERO at THAILAND SAFE@WORK 2018

This year, the Safety and Health at Work Promotion Association Thailand (SHAWPAT) and the Thailand Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (TOSH) were co-organizing the 32nd annual national event on OSH, namely “Thailand SAFE@WORK 2018”, on 28th to 30th June 2018 at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in Bangkok/Thailand. The theme of this year’s event has been selected as “Culture of Prevention for Safety Thailand”.
Joachim Breuer, President of the International Social Security Association (ISSA) was invited to meet with the Thai Minister of Labor (Figure 2), Adul Sangsingkeo, and together they presided over the Opening Ceremony on 28th June 2018 at BITEC (Figure 1).

Over 2,000 occupational safety and health experts, specialists and senior management from Thai enterprises attended this annual event. Later, on the 29th June 2018, there was a Seminar Forum on VISION ZERO where SHAWPAT President Chaiyuth Chavalitnitikul had a dialogue session on the key topic of VISION ZERO Strategy at the national and global levels. This was followed by a session in which representatives from prominent Thai enterprises shared their successes with the application of Vision Zero in their enterprises.
