Tilman Schwencke has been in charge of the strategy and policy division at the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW) in Berlin since 1st July 2015. He took over the post from Andreas Kuhlmann, who has moved to the German Energy Agency (dena).

On 1st August 2015, Ulrich Benterbusch, who had been Managing Director at the German Energy Agency (dena) Berlin since October 2014, returned to the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), where he is managing sub-department II B, Heating and Efficiency in Industry and Private Households and Sustainability Mobility.

Petra Reinhold-Knape has joined the executive board for the Trade Union for Mining, Chemicals and Energy (ICG BCE) in Hanover. She has taken over from Egbert Biermann who left his post for personal reasons.

Hubertus Schmoldt, who was chairman of the board at the Trade Union for Mining, Chemicals and Energy (IG BCE) until 2009, has been appointed as an independent member of the supervisory board for Mitteldeutsche Braunkohlengesellschaft mbH (MIBRAG), Zeitz.

Klaus-Dieter Barbknecht, former member of the board of management at VNG – Verbundnetz Gas AG, became the new vice-chancellor at TU Bergakademie Freiberg University on 21st July 2015.

On 1st October, Christoph Löwer became CEO of the German Industrial Association of Oil and Gas Producers (WEG), Hanover. He has taken over from Josef Schmidt, who went into retirement after 18 years as the head of the association.
