At the end of September 2016, Roger Kohlmann left the General Executive Management Board of the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW), Berlin/Germany. He is succeeded by Andrees Gentzsch, former Director of the Legal division of the General Executive Management Board.

In April 2017, Joachim Lang, who is currently Head of the Berlin representative office of E.ON SE, will become General Manager of the Federation of German Industry (BDI) in Berlin/Germany. He will succeed Markus Krebber, who will be moving to the IT industry.

On 1st October, Prof. Dr. Karl Friedrich Jakob became this year’s Chairman of the Board of the self-governing bodies of the German Statutory Pension Insurance Scheme for Knappschaft-Bahn-See (DRV KBS), Bochum/Germany. He succeeds Edeltraud Glänzer.

In early 2017, Laurent Schmitt will become the new Secretary-General of the European Network of Transmission System Operators, Entso-E, Brussels/Belgium. Schmitt is currently Global Smart Grid Strategy Leader at General Electric. At Entso-E he will succeed Konstantin Staschus.

Since 19th September 2016, Gazprom Germania GmbH, Berlin/Germany, has had a new Board of Management. Mikhail Sereda and Nikolai Dubik succeeded Vyacheslav Krupenkov and Andrey Biryulin.

The Supervisory Board of K+S Aktiengesellschaft, Kassel/Germany, has invited Otto Lose to join the company’s Board of Management for the Potash and Magnesium Products division as of 1st January 2017.

Rolf-Martin Schmitz has been the new Chairman of the Board of RWE AG. Essen/Germany, since 15th October. Markus Krebber was appointed Chief Financial Officer. Following the IPO of innogy SE, the former Chairman of the Board of RWE, Peter Terium, became the company’s Chairman of the Board. Dr. Arndt Neuhaus has been appointed as a new member of the Supervisory Board of STEAG GmbH, Essen/Germany. The management consultant joins the supervisory body of the energy company and succeeds Dietmar Bückemeyer on the Board of Management of Stadtwerke Essen AG.

On 1st December 2016, Stefan Dohler, former Senior Vice President of the Market division, will become the new Chief Financial Officer and successor to Ingrid Bronde at Vattenfall AG, Stockholm/Sweden.
