In early 2017, Laurent Schmitt will become the new Secretary-General of the European Network of Transmission System Operators, Entso-E, Brussels/Belgium. Schmitt is currently Global Smart Grid Strategy Leader at General Electric. At Entso-E he will succeed Konstantin Staschus.
