CFT GmbH Compact Filter Technic successfully implements cooling projects

In the context of increasingly complex mining and tunnel construction projects, the subject of air conditioning is becoming increasingly challenging. CFT GmbH Compact Filter Technic, based in Gladbeck/Germany, has established itself as an innovative solution provider in this area. The company, which specialises in dedusting and ventilation in mining and tunnel construction, has been advising its customers on air cooling for some time. The basis for this is its close collaboration with long-established company WAT Wärme-Austausch-Technik GmbH, which, like CFT, also belongs to the CFH Group, and has more than 30 years’ experience in the air conditioning of tunnels, coal, ore and potash mines. Joint cooling projects focussing on air and machine cooling in TBM tunnelling as well as air conditioning for mines and shaft sinking have already been successfully implemented (Figures 1, 2).

The services offered by CFT range from underground and above-ground dedusting and ventilation right through to air heating and cooling. Recent international cooling projects implemented by CFT and WAT in Hamminkeln/Germany include both individual systems with a cooling capacity of up to 3 MW as well as entire installations with over 30 MW per project. Long-established company WAT has a high level of expertise and decades of experience in the field of air cooling. The use of its products has been reliably tried and tested over many years.

With a comprehensive product range, CFT is part of the CFH Group, which, with its subsidiaries and associate companies as well as competent international representatives, supports its customers in many countries of the world with state-of-the-art ventilation systems. Together with Famous Holding, the CFH Group is a majority shareholder in WAT. While Famous is responsible for exclusive sales on the Chinese market, the CFH subsidiary CFT markets the WAT product range in Germany and everywhere else in the world except China.
