DEA Deutsche Erdoel AG in Hamburg/Germany has announced that Maria Moraeus Hanssen has been appointed as their new Chairperson of the Board and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Her appointment is expected to come into force in January 2018, when Maria Moraeus Hanssen will succeed Thomas Rappuhn. He will step down after 30 years with the company, including twelve years on the board and eight years as CEO. Maria Moraeus Hanssen is currently the CEO for the business area of exploration and production at the French utility company ENGIE.
