DMT presents comprehensive service portfolio for deep geothermal energy at GeoTHERM – Europe’s largest trade fair for geothermal energy

DMT GmbH & Co. KG, a TÜV NORD GROUP company based in Essen, will be taking part in GeoTHERM expo & congress, the largest geothermal trade fair and congress in Europe, on 2 and 3 March 2023. Trade visitors, media representatives and decision-makers will have the opportunity to exchange views with DMT’s geothermal experts on the service portfolio for deep geothermal energy and to discuss solutions for all development phases from feasibility to site investigation and plant engineering.

In addition to DMT, over 150 other national and international exhibitors are expected. Supplemented by an extensive programme of lectures and workshops, the trade fair covers the entire spectrum of geothermal energy and is considered one of the most important meeting places for the industry.

In view of the challenges posed by the energy transition and the desired independence from the import of fossil fuels, deep geothermal energy in particular is of central importance – it can cover up to 25% of the demand for thermal energy in Germany. And since about one third of energy consumption in Germany is used for heating and hot water, municipalities and utilities that have recognised the unlimited heat potential of deep geothermal energy can now become pioneers in climate protection and guarantors of supply security.

While the political course is gradually being set for the expansion of deep geothermal energy, the realisation of projects still depends on many preconditions. DMT has therefore set itself the task of supporting customers in all phases of a geothermal project, from project initiation and the necessary seismic measurements to approval, plant construction and commissioning.

“Our customers can rely on DMT’s expertise when it comes to licensing issues, the wide range of funding opportunities, exploration, plant engineering, environmental impact assessments, and the involvement of the public and public interest groups. The same applies to the planning of wells and facilities,” explains Dr Boris Dombrowski, Deputy Head of Geo-Energy & Resources at DMT. “Even though DMT is primarily visible with its vibro-trucks in the context of exploring potential, our service portfolio encompasses all aspects of planning, design and consulting,” adds Prof. Dr Bodo Lehmann, Head of Geo-Energy & Resources at DMT. “We look forward to exchanging ideas with customers, interested parties and the press at GeoTHERM.”

Dr Boris Dombrowski and Prof. Dr Bodo Lehmann will be on site throughout the GeoTHERM and will be available for discussions.
